About

Ivy Ham Designs began as a way to save money on creating a website for an old business my partner and I used to run together. We had looked at hiring someone to do it for us, but at the time it was not within our budget. I had been designing and creating my own blogs on Tumblr and Weebly since I was a teen and figured I could try doing it myself while we saved up for the design as a backup plan.

I ended up taking courses online at Skillshare, Coursera, my local community college & other online educational platforms to gather the information needed to make a good site and learn the complex art of Search Engine Optimization.

After several years of study and trial and error, I eventually created Hazel Networks. It was a very large project and took a lot of time to create from scratch, but I’m still very proud of it to this day! Hazel Networks is an eCommerce website where visitors can purchase used electronics in an effort to limit the growing problem of e-waste entering our landfills.

Coming from meager beginnings, I completely understand the need to work within a budget and offer ways where my clients can take on some of the management duties for their own site. If you are a current client of mine and are looking for training on how to manage aspects of your site to save money, please reach out.

If you’re considering doing a website design with me and reading this, wondering if it’s worth the cost, I can say that in every field, having a modern and intuitive online presence for your business speaks volumes and often results in higher income, more brand trust & more smooth interactions with your customers. Many of my clients report that after their design they had more free time to spend on other neglected parts of their life.

XX,

— Ivy
